I live in Finland = I'm a Finn

My name is Risto, and my journey towards YouTube started in 2022 when I received my first outdoor stove as a gift. After that, I started hiking and camping excessively, and in late 2024 I decided to film my first video.

Along the ride, I have shared many memorable adventures, but also my personal life. I have fought with chronic pain this whole time, but being outdoors relieves some of that pain.

My goal is to share the beautiful nature of Finland to the world and encourage others to go outdoors!

Overnight adventure with E-Fatbike!

Aniooki sent me their E-Fatbike to use on my adventures. I will take this badboy to a harsh winter adventure to test its winter capabilities. I will most likely spend the night at a remote cabin or a lean-to shelter.

OFF-GRID cabin EP1

IT FINALLY STARTED! My off-grid cabin build! I did the first trip to the wilderness, fell a few trees, made a permanent comfortable shelter to live in when I build the cabin and so much more! It was very cold, -30 degrees celsius but I survived! Can't wait to take you along this trip!

Long project: Survival bootcamp

I will participate in a survival bootcamp held by a Finnish professional over 3 weekends. Each of the weekends focuses on different topics, starting from the basics and building up. I will make a 3-part survival-oriented series of this, teaching you on the go.

NOTE: The 2nd and 3rd courses got cancelled in 2025, so I will attend them in 2026

Long project: Raising sheep

My sister is raising sheep and I am helping her, so I will film and document the whole process of building a sheep fence, harvesting food for the sheep, raising the sheep, and processing them to food.

Video comes out in the beginning of 2026

Long project: Off-grid cabin build

I will build an off-grid cabin in the wilderness of Finland. This will be the longest project ever on my channel (and overall what I've ever built).

I will document the project on my channel and publish videos from all the parts of the build. But don't worry, I'll continue making camping/bushcraft/survival videos as well. So my channel won't form into just "off-grid cabin" stuff.

I've sketched the first drawings and will finalize plans soon. I have already selected the location and will soon go to mark the trees that I'll fell in the beginning of 2026.

An estimated schedule:

11-12/2025: Planning the cabin, selecting the precise location, marking trees that need to be cut down

1-4/2026: Cutting down trees and debarking them to make logs. Piling the logs so that they can dry

6-9/2026: Building an outhouse and the base for the cabin

9-10/2026: Building the frame of the cabin from the logs

10/2026 - 9/2027: The logs will dry slowly. This is a very long process as the logs need to dry almost completely.

9-11/2027: Building the roof and floor

2028: Installing windows, doors, kitchen, stove, off-grid electricity etc. Crafting furniture, storages etc. Building a deck.

2029: Building a Sauna & an outdoor fireplace "laavu"
